Mark runs hastly among the streets of Deadend, trying to hide away from the sirens, he tries to catch up with his breath as he hides on a small alley, hoping he's wont be catched in there. Then a few images start rolling out on his brain as he remembers how he ended up in this situation.
 
"Dammit fuck those piggies they decided to work after all... I wouldn't had guessed any of this would happen like this... but somehow the thrill its different than before, I am not doing it for fun this time, getting my life at stake in the process...no... this time I  want to live... I want to be next to her."
 
"Just a few days ago I was thinking how I would get Lara out of that damned place... and then Yas shows up at the door of my bar at Sinners Rest with her...  I guess I misjudged Yas after all.... Lara was pretty injured from her two week stay on that infernal place... but alive after all... luckily I had a personal doctor at hand to tend her. She's fine now.... and I've been thinking about it... and I want to toss my past away, I hoarded this insane amount of money to get revenge on him someday... the bastard who destroyed my happiness one time... but I don't think I need to anymore... I found that special someone who I want to protect and I want to be happy with... I never thought after 8 years this would happen again. I decided to use this capital to seek the exact retribution on a certain bald ghost... fuck my cover I don't need it anymore... he will regret and learn not to mess up with me and my kitten... no one will ever touch her again... and if they do they will just regret that they were born."
 
"I wonder why do I even come back to this damned city... I need to straighten up things with Myth... but I just can't, seems that the cab guy still has it hard against me, now he's blaming me for the kidnapping of Judith... which I swear he's the one who did it on the first place, all the signs point to that way... now my life on Deadend its sorta ruined, and I see if I can still save my job as a mercenary on Lulu's..."
 
Listens to the sirens swarming near to his position, forcing him to come out from his hideout, he gets a hold of a service stairs and climbs up to it, running as fast as possible like he has never done on his life.
 
"But I guess... today its not the day... I can't just walk around and tell everyone about SinQuisition rebirth... no one will believe me and the only walking proof of my words its Lara... and I won't get her in the way of harm... there's no way I'll do it... I'll find another way to fix up this mess... I don't want to involve her at all... in any way with my sins..."
 
Mark, keeps running as desperate as possible from the sirens, looking for a way to escape Deadend... just for awhile.
