Becoming a detective in DEPD

Hi I'm new to the DEPD but want to play the role of detective. Can any Police players tell me how to change my role?

Houses for Dead End

I recently bought some land which had a house on it. On buying the land the house vanished. I have bought another but it doesn't really have the dead end look. Can anybody tell me of a good site where I can find a house that fits dead end?
