Runaway

Mark runs hastly among the streets of Deadend, trying to hide away from the sirens, he tries to catch up with his breath as he hides on a small alley, hoping he's wont be catched in there. Then a few images start rolling out on his brain as he remembers how he ended up in this situation.

"Dammit fuck those piggies they decided to work after all... I wouldn't had guessed any of this would happen like this... but somehow the thrill its different than before, I am not doing it for fun this time, getting my life at stake in the process...no... this time I  want to live... I want to be next to her."

Aria of Lament

Finds himself wrapped on a black, elegant, silk sleeping wear. He's sitting down on his esteemed black leather chair, he looks all around to the elegant place he's on, sheets covering most of the furniture. He grabs a bottle of his favorite Merlot, an exquisite wine from Bordeaux. Mark smirks as he finds it has been quite some time since he let himself go by the luxury of his old penthouse. Memories ravage his mind as he keeps drinking from his splendid wine, the alcohol leaving a tingling sensation at it goes down.

He notices his Steinway grand piano wrapped under a white, large sheet. He stands up leaving the crystal cup he was drinking, on the floor. He removes the cover, leaving it on a side of the piano. His fingers graze the border of the keys as he walks to the seat of the white piano. He calmly plays the first song he learned, a slow melancholic tune, almost as soothing as a lullaby. Then he starts thinking out loud as he plays.  (le click if you want to listen)
